I have been performing around New England for over 30 years, as a solo pianist, with my jazz trio, with my swing and soul band, and with the Peter Hostage Situation 9 piece swing orchestra. We travel to all six New England states and occasionally to New York, as well. I am based in New Hampshire, but most of band mates are from the greater Boston area. Through the years, my bands and I have performed at many nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, function halls, concert venues, backyards, street corners, town commons, beach parties, boats, ships, weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, barmitzvahs, and holiday parties.

The Peter Hostage Trio. From quiet background jazz to funk and classic R&B for dancing. Perfect for smaller parties and venues. Vocalist/pianist Peter plus bass and drums mix it up with favorites including standards, bossa nova tunes, and ballads. For dancing: swing, jump blues, classic R&B, and funk. A big sound from a little band. Think: Dave Brubeck, Frank Sinatra, Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, Louis Jordan, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Al Green.

The Peter Hostage Band plays swing and soul. Add horns to the trio, and you get a full sound. A very versatile band, able to swing it lightly or funk it hard. Standards, blues, Latin, rock, R&B, ballads, and Funk. Keeps the party hoppin'! Swing and standards from "Fly Me To The Moon" to "Satin Doll." The Peter Hostage Situation is a 9 piece swing machine! A "little" big band with a huge sound that swings hard. Lots of classic swing from the greats like Duke Ellington and Count Basie, plus jump blues from Joe Turner and Louis Jordan. The band also plays original arrangements of standards from the Great American Songbook including "It Had To Be You," "Witchcraft," and "The Lady Is A Tramp."
