Pianist/vocalist Peter Hostage leads his trio through the songs of the Great American Songbook, including "Bye Bye Blackbird," "In The Wee Small Hours," "Don't Get Around Much Any More" plus Bossa Nova standards like "One Note Samba," "Wave" and blues like "Route 66" and "Alright, Okay, You Win." This small ensemble can play quiet background cocktail jazz, or turn it up to pump up a party with funk and R&B classics. The Trio has a large jazz repertoire including songs from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck, Herbie Hancock, Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, The Crusaders, Weather Report, and Antonio Carlos Jobim (just a partial list!); plus many of the classic R&B standards from the Memphis, Motown and New Orleans artists like Al Green, Stevie Wonder and Dr. John.
