Thanks for droppin’ in! My name is Peter Hostage and I am a jazz-blues pianist, singer and guitarist based in Londonderry, New Hampshire, USA. I am also a music educator, producer and now a blogger! Occasionally I sleep.
By the way, this site is currently being re-built, so pardon the inconvenience, and watch your step! Live Music I have been performing throughout New England for almost 40 years, playing concerts, nightclubs, coffehouses, restaurants, swing dances, corporate functions, weddings, and backyard BBQs. I perform as a solo pianist; with my jazz trio; with my swing & soul band; and with my 9 piece swing orchestra. Music Lessons I teach guitar, piano, voice, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukelele and more at my home studio. I have taught hundreds of people since 1982, including children and adults, and beginners and advanced students; plus I have written a piano method for adults, and a guitar method book. Recordings Check out my 3 CDs and 1 LP (real virgin vintage vinyl). All original music except for “American Standard Blue,” (CD-plastic) which of course is standards and blues. But wait! New Eco-friendly downloads are available! Production Browse tracks that I have produced, many for film & TV music libraries, and for other artists. Blog Sign up to receive my newsletter/blog “News ‘n’ Musin’s,” which includes music news, interviews, insights about favorite songs, tracks, artists, and whatever else I might feel like mouthin’ off about. All with a mostly piano and guitar bias. Very loose. Oh yeah, you’ll get a free track from one of my CDs when you sign up! Books Please take a look at the aforementioned books. The Piano Guide Book Series is written especially for busy adults, and includes a complete (and free) video tutorial. The Eye and Ear Book for Guitar is for students who want to learn guitar, plus how to read notation and develop a better ear. Both are available as e-books. |
